A Musical Background

I was raised in a musical family where creativity was encouraged. I picked up the Bass Guitar at 13 years old and soon after picked up the acoustic guitar where I found my real love. Over the years I have expanded my sites across a range of other instruments with a mind on composition and arrangement, but my passion still lays with the wooden box with strings.

The Apple Valley Death Squad

The Apple Valley Death Squad is a band featuring songs written by myself and local musical genius Tom Stillwagon. We began work on the record – “3 Cheers 4” – roughly two years ago and with a slew of talented musicians and the engineering genius of Eduardo Garcia, we’re only months away from release. This has been a very inspiring project for me as I’ve had the pleasure of working right alongside people who I’ve watched on stage for years. I will also be directing a music video for the track “Last Train” and hopefully follow up with a couple others as Tom and I continue to develop the artistic goals and campaigns for this eclectic project.

John Doe Jersey

John Doe Jersey has been a creative collaboration between me and Singer/Co-Songwriter Chuck Crabtree for the past decade. With a rotating lineup of talented musicians John Doe Jersey has played anywhere from a full rock band to a quiet acoustic duo. From Club to coffee shop, we’ve enjoyed adjusting and entertaining. Recently things have slowed down as both of us have taken some time to adjust to our new lives with our expanding families, but the itch is still there. With the upcoming release of our quiet heartfelt EP – “The Winter Sessions” – we hope to take the stage again soon and play some tunes  for whoever will listen.

10 Cent Lemonade

After years of holding back, I am finally putting together a small collection of songs to go out and play myself as a solo artist/small band project. Made up of mostly folky tunes, you’ll find a coffee shop quality to the record.
